Big Pi VenturesCheck size: Growth-fund level: Big Pi Growth I states that it leads with €7M–€20M+ per company. Big Pi's overall platform spans €0.5M–€30M across funds. Neither range is published as Fanis's personal allocation authority.
Fanis supports European technology scale-ups moving toward market leadership with growth capital plus operational and financial expertise. His background in TMT investment banking and as FlexCar's finance leader supports a value-creation lens centered on financing structure, valuation, capital efficiency, international expansion, organic growth, and selective M&A rather than capital alone.
Outstanding European technology scale-ups with evidence of market leadership potential, well-rounded teams, scalable platforms and operations, international ambition, and a clear plan for using growth capital and hands-on financial expertise to compound value.
No personal pass list is public. Big Pi's published growth criteria imply weaker fit for companies without tangible scalability, defensible technology, a large geographic market, strong product and business-development capability, or a credible plan to turn a sizable financing into efficient organic expansion or value-accretive M&A.
Bring a growth-quality data room: cohort and unit economics, revenue quality, margin development, retention, cash conversion, forecast accuracy, capital structure, and a use-of-proceeds model tied to international expansion or M&A. Explain the defendable technology advantage, operational bottlenecks, finance-team maturity, downside case, and how €7M–€20M+ can move the company from regional strength to market leadership.
Connect a sizable financing to specific organic and M&A initiatives, finance and operating capabilities, international milestones, and measurable improvements in revenue quality, margins, cash conversion, and market position.
Test forecast quality, unit economics, capital structure, controls, reporting, financing options, acquisition capacity, and downside resilience before assuming that product traction can safely absorb growth capital.
Leading €7M–€20M+ growth investments can bridge Europe's scale-up funding gap when paired with hands-on operational, financial, internationalization, and M&A support.
