V3V VenturesCheck size: No Stanko-specific check range is public. A current third-party V3V profile reports a firm-level typical range of $100K–$1M at pre-seed/seed, while public round databases describe the larger rounds V3V joins rather than its own checks. Treat $100K–$1M as directional and confirm instrument, allocation and follow-on capacity directly.
Stanko invests in early-stage software, digital infrastructure and emerging technology, with a strong Web3 focus and an engineer's bias toward difficult, foundational systems. His current public filter is a move away from narratives toward measurable fundamentals: real products, revenue, product traction, user retention and sustainable business models. Within crypto he highlights infrastructure, stablecoin and payment rails, institutional adoption, DeFi, cross-chain systems and the decentralized-AI stack across compute, storage, data, models and applications. V3V pairs capital with architecture, GTM, distribution and follow-on fundraising support.
Technical founders at pre-seed or seed who solve difficult infrastructure problems; working products with measurable value, revenue, traction and retained users; clear use cases capable of surviving market volatility; architecture and performance decisions grounded in engineering trade-offs; sustainable business models and disciplined shipping timelines; AI/crypto products with an explicit layer in the stack; teams open to hands-on architecture, GTM, positioning, marketing and fundraising help; and founders who execute quickly enough to invalidate weak assumptions.
Hype or narrative without a real product, retention, revenue or sustainable economics; memecoin-led pitches; undifferentiated Web3 projects unable to state the difficult user problem; decentralized-AI claims that do not identify whether the moat sits in compute, storage, data, models or applications; architecture that cannot explain performance trade-offs; and teams seeking only a logo rather than engaged technical and go-to-market support. These are synthesized from Stanko's public fundamentals comments and V3V's stated operating model, not a published exclusion list.
Reach Stanko through the verified LinkedIn profile or @0xstajus; V3V's website also publishes [email protected]. Start with the hard user or infrastructure problem, current product and why the technical architecture is necessary. Include stage, round, instrument, allocation, shipping timeline, revenue or usage, retention, sustainable unit economics and the one performance trade-off the team chose deliberately. For AI x crypto, locate the company precisely in compute, storage, data, model or application layers. Explain the help wanted from V3V in architecture, GTM, distribution or follow-on fundraising. If quoting a $100K–$1M range, call it third-party firm guidance and verify it directly.
Judge an early-stage Web3 company by shipped product, revenue, traction, user retention and sustainability rather than by the current market story.
Locate the product and moat across compute, storage, data, models and applications before assessing differentiation, dependencies and value capture.
Ask whether the user problem and measurable value remain valid through a crypto drawdown; projects dependent on token attention alone are structurally weaker.
Probe architecture choices, performance trade-offs and shipping timelines to distinguish technical execution from an infrastructure narrative.
Favor foundational protocols and developer systems whose reliability and usability enable scalable applications, rather than primitives without a path to adoption.
Assess whether V3V can materially help through product or architecture judgment, GTM, distribution, marketing connections and follow-on fundraising—not merely supply capital.
Use demos, customer evidence and rapid assumption testing to convert an early thesis into a company; imperfect plans are acceptable, slow learning is not.
The digital-asset market is increasingly judging companies on revenue, product traction, sustainability and user retention, rewarding execution and measurable value over narratives.
Early-stage demand remains strong for critical Web3 verticals, while decentralized AI is emerging across compute, storage, data, models and applications and institutional participation is becoming more durable.

Stanko Nedic is a Partner at V3V Ventures and an angel investor. A scientist and engineer turned investor, he earned a PhD in Engineering at the University of Cambridge, where his work covered zinc-oxide nanowire field-effect transistors, photodetectors and non-volatile memory, after an MEng at the University of Southampton. He later served as an Assistant Research Professor at the Institute of Physics Belgrade and held research, business-development and investing roles in the digital-asset ecosystem before joining V3V. Public V3V and event materials describe him as having backed early-stage digital-asset startups for nearly a decade.
