Northzone (Web3)Check size: No personal check-size range is published. Pascual invests at early stage through Northzone; founders should confirm current round fit directly and should not infer his allocation from portfolio-company financing totals.
Pascual focuses on early-stage AI, fintech, healthcare, and vertical SaaS, with particular interest in products that use growing data availability and improved computation to transform an industry. His portfolio spans AI for legal work, medical analysis, debt collection, sales, payments, and mental healthcare, indicating an applied, industry-specific orientation.
Entrepreneurs shaping the future across diverse industries, applied AI with a clear domain advantage, and products that exploit new data or compute capabilities to reconceptualize a workflow rather than merely digitize it.
No public pass list is available. His stated focus implies weaker fit for undifferentiated horizontal AI wrappers, products without access to useful domain data, technology in search of an industry problem, or fintech products that preserve opaque and manual incumbent processes. These are inferences, not quoted policy.
Start with the industry transformation: what newly available data or compute makes possible now, and why the old workflow cannot respond. Show the proprietary data loop, domain accuracy, workflow integration, measurable ROI, and a narrow early customer wedge that can expand into a category platform.
Identify what data became accessible, what computation became feasible, and which previously constrained customer outcome now changes materially.
Explain how the product changes the operating model, cost, speed, access, or quality of a domain rather than simply moving an existing process online.
Test whether usage creates proprietary feedback, better decisions, stronger integrations, or other compounding advantages specific to the vertical.
Bring domain-specific accuracy, human-review boundaries, integration evidence, measurable ROI, and customer trust—not benchmark performance alone.
