Accelerator Director
AppWorksCheck size: No personal check size or investment allocation authority is published for Alyssa. Her route for founders is AppWorks' accelerator and its corporate accelerator programs; applicants should verify each current program's funding, equity and eligibility terms rather than assuming the firm's fund parameters apply.
Alyssa's operating thesis is that an accelerator should be a practical lab where founders repeatedly test, learn and build with peers, mentors and corporate partners. She leads AppWorks Accelerator plus Wistron Accelerator and TINC Accelerator and manages a founder network spanning nine Asian markets. Her historical program work helped orient AppWorks' accelerator toward AI, blockchain and Southeast Asia and establish hybrid and vertical corporate formats. This is a founder-development and ecosystem mandate, not a documented personal investment thesis.
Builders willing to learn through experimentation, founders working on technically or commercially difficult problems, products that solve a real user need, humble and professional teams, cross-border ambition, and founders who contribute knowledge and support back to the community. In her accelerator role she is especially relevant when a team can benefit from structured programs, corporate access, mentors and peer learning.
Alyssa does not publish a personal investment exclusion list. A cold funding pitch that assumes her former Principal title means independent check-writing authority is a routing mismatch. Accelerator applicants should avoid vague ideas without a customer problem, evidence of execution or a clear reason the relevant AppWorks program and regional network will accelerate the company.
Apply through the current AppWorks or relevant corporate-accelerator channel rather than treating Alyssa as a conventional VC inbox. Explain the specific user pain, what has been built and learned, founder-market insight, why now, traction or experiments, the team's fit for Taiwan or Greater Southeast Asia, and the precise corporate, mentor or community leverage sought. For program or founder-development questions, her published AppWorks biography and historical self-introduction provide the correct context; confirm current cohort terms directly.
Treat an accelerator as a bounded environment for founders to build, run experiments, diagnose problems and learn with mentors and peers rather than as a passive curriculum.
Pair a focused startup cohort with a corporate partner whose domain, distribution and operational resources can create deeper collaboration than generic introductions.
Maintain active alumni, mentor and founder relationships across cohorts and markets so practical help, knowledge and cross-border connections accumulate over time.
Use the accelerator leader for program fit and founder development, while routing direct fund-investment questions to the firm's current investment professionals.
An accelerator leader's work is to help founders untangle company and personal challenges, connect them to useful collaborators and create a community where learning compounds.
AppWorks separated accelerator and web3 operating arms, placing Alyssa over its accelerator, corporate programs and associated communities.
